The night wake – Park of Rauccio Lecce

The first eco-art activity in Italy was made in the extraordinary Park of Rauccio. The event named as “The Night Wake – Verso la Notte dei Poeti” was centered on the poetic dimension in such a beautiful natural context. Luciano Pagano and Simone Giorgino guided the public in reading and presenting the breathtaking verses contained in the book “Venenum”. Subsequently, the verses of “Il Cantico dei Cantici per Lingua Madre” (The song of songs for mother tongue), Fabio Tolledi‘s poetical recreation of the biblical text, the oldest book on love, recited by the actresses Roberta Quarta and Simonetta Rotundo from Astràgali Teatro. The event was made even more precious by the music of Gianluca Milanese, creating a beautiful atmosphere under the stars, for this unique activity that combined poetry and nature and saw the participation not only of the international artistic group of Antigone’s Pride Performing Society project, but also of many habitants of the area.
